What to do
Use DVLA's online service on gov.uk
Go to the official "change the address on your driving licence" page. Other websites offer to do this for a fee; you don't need them.
Enter your details
You may be asked to prove who you are, usually with photo ID such as a passport.
Keep driving while you wait
You can still drive while the new licence is on its way. It should arrive within a week if you apply online.
Do the car's logbook too
Your licence and your V5C (the car's logbook) are separate records. If you own a car, update both.
If you skip this
You must update your licence when you move. You can be fined up to £1,000 if you don't tell DVLA your address has changed.
