What we keep, and how to get rid of it.

• You don't need an account, and we never ask for a password.
• We store only what you type in to build your checklist.
• We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
• We don't sell your details.
• You can delete your checklist yourself, at any time.

When you build a checklist, we save:

• the name you give us, which is printed on your letters;
• your move date and the two postcodes, and the council each one is in;
• your answers about renting or buying, who is moving, and whether you have a car, pets or a GP;
• which tasks you have ticked off or skipped;
• your email address, only if you ask us to email your checklist or send reminders.

We don't ask for your street address, date of birth, or any bank, card or account details. Letters leave a blank line for anything like that, and you fill it in by hand.

Your checklist is opened with a long random link, not a password. Anyone who has the link can see and change that checklist, so treat it like a key and don't post it anywhere public.

Your browser remembers the link on the device you used, in its local storage. It isn't a tracking cookie, and it is only ever sent to this site, to load your checklist.

We use a small number of services to run the site:

• Supabase hosts the database your checklist is saved in, in the EU (Ireland).
• Postcodes.io receives the postcodes you enter so we can find the right council. It gets the postcode only, not your name.
• Resend sends our emails, so it receives your email address if you give us one.

We don't share your details with anyone else.

Some tasks may show a link labelled "Partner link". If you click one, we count the click: which partner, which task and when. We don't record who clicked, and we don't pass your name, postcode, email or checklist to the partner. Once you are on their site, their own privacy policy applies.

We only email you if you ask us to. If you tick the reminders box, we send a short reminder a few days before a task is due. To stop them, open your checklist and choose "Remove my email". That deletes the address from our records as well.

We keep your checklist until you delete it. To delete it, open your checklist and choose "Delete my checklist" under "Your private link". That removes the checklist, your answers, your progress and your email address from our database straight away, and it can't be undone.

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
